Evaluating the Spatial Distribution of Endangered Frogs in Northern Queensland and the Threats to Their Continued Survival
22 OCT 2021
12.00 PM - 1.30 PM
There are four critically endangered, endemic and understudied frog species in the wet tropics of Northern Queensland. More studies about their distributions and threats are needed for their conservation. This study aims to identify and map areas of potential habitat of four critically endangered frogs of Northern Queensland in order to clarify their conservation status and understand potential threats to their survival. Species distribution models (SDMs) and GIS-based analysis will be used to achieve this aim.
