Placing Values at the Centre of Employability for Creative Industries Students
08 DEC 2021
9.00 AM - 10.30 AM

Traditional employability education, often manifests a skills-transferability focus. This skills-focus does not take into account the values of creative industry practitioners. This study draws on the Protean career concept to design, facilitate and evaluate the impact of values-transferability experiences within an employability-focussed undergraduate entrepreneurship course. The evaluation design is a quasi-field experiment that is attentive to the students’ lived experiences. The study is anticipated to extend the influence of the Protean career concept into educational design; practice implications include the evaluated educational experiences for consideration and adoption by universities.
