The relationship between nature and music is examined using three different perspectives: musicology, ethnomusicology, and ecomusicology. This study sits within the interaction triangle and addresses the philosophical/historical/spiritual aspects. The key aspects investigate composers' perceptions of existing musical and non-musical patterns drawn from natural environments.

The research aims to expand and examine the connection of creative musical composition to the natural world through the lens of Sufism to provide insight into the natural sounds classified by composers' aesthetic perception.

This paper employs multilayers of methodological ethnographic tools to research nature's impact on music-making. Each layer has its unique characteristics for ethnomusicology and ecomusicology approaches to make claims about nature's echo expression and assess how nature influences composers' works.
