ARC DECRA - PhD Research Scholarship

Particular emphasis will be on the development of a high-performance micro/nano sensor technology that can be utilised for monitoring structural health, reducing failure and extending lifetime of structures, providing cutting-edge knowledge to petrochemical and mining industries.

The successful candidate will be mentored by world-class researchers to build up competitive track records for future careers. This research funded by Australian Research Council (ARC) will provide the student with opportunity to collaborate with various partner organisations, including NASA JPL, University of Michigan, Simon Fraser University and Griffith University.

  • Tuition fees for a period of 6 semesters, full-time equivalent, paid by the USQ.
  • Stipend (living allowance), valued at $30,000 per annum, tax free.
  • The maximum period of the award is three years. Periods of study already undertaken towards the program will be deducted from the period of tenure
