NSW Country Surveyors Association Scholarship

In 2024, UniSQ will offer one NSW Country Surveyors Association Scholarship to support a student continuing their studies in the Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying).

The NSW Country Surveyors Association wishes to support talented surveying students from regional and remote NSW who have a strong commitment to the profession of surveying and a desire to become a registered land surveyor with the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI).

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $15 000 to be paid over three years.

Applicants must:

be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
be from a regional, rural or remote area within New South Wales
be continuing their studies full-time at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) in Trimester 1 2024
have, as at the release of results for Semester 2 2023:
- a minimum of 6 study units completed and credited towards their current program
- a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0
not be in receipt of another UniSQ awarded scholarship.

Applicants must:

address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):

your reflections on your studies at UniSQ to date and how you will make the most of your remaining studies
how you see yourself as a future professional within your field
your involvement within your local community, industry or the university and how has this shaped your development as an individual.

provide evidence to show you have a permanent address in a regional, rural or remote area within New South Wales as per the Modified Monash Model 2019.

*Applicants will also be assessed on academic achievement.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
