Sentence fragments

• A sentence fragment is an incomplete sentence because it does not contain an independent clause.

Incorrect: Even though he was an outstanding student and could write a good essay (Dependent Clause).

Correct: Even though he was an outstanding student and could write a good essay, he did not pass the test (Independent Clause).
