Simple sentences (1): a simple subject and a simple verb
- A simple subject is a subject with only one head noun (main noun), or one pronoun.
Those apples on the table (S) remind (V) me of my grandfather’s orchard.
She (S) laughed (V).
- A simple verb is only one verb, in any tense.
It (S) must have rained (V).
