Simple sentences
Simple sentences (3): a simple subject and a compound verb
- Sometimes you can have one subject (S) connected to two verbs (V1, V2) (called a compound verb).
- The verbs are joined by a coordinating conjunction.
- The subject has only one head noun (main noun) or pronoun.
Those students (S) have been going (V1) to bed late and getting up (V2) early.
They (S) neither like (V1) nor dislike (V2) Toowoomba.
