The Indigenous Higher Education Pathways Program (IHEPP) is a pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to begin their learning journey.

We understand that having access to financial support throughout your studies is important. If you’re an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student you may be eligible for different types of financial support.
Commonwealth supported students
Students born within Australia or New Zealand may be eligible for government assistance including through the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP). This scheme consists of three loans that give you access to deferred payment arrangements.

Indigenous Academic Support (IAS)
All Indigenous students at USQ have access to the Indigenous Academic Support scheme (IAS). This scheme provides free tutoring to students studying any program or course at USQ. This program is designed to meet the needs of each student to help you achieve greater success in your studies.
We have a range of student support programs available to help our students through their studies. Every student also has their very own Student Relationship Officer to support them along the way.
As an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student, you will also have access to a variety of support services at the College for Indigenous Studies, Education and Research (CISER).
