I've applied to study, but now what?
Didn’t get an offer?
If you didn’t receive an offer from USQ it could be because you didn't meet the entry requirements, you didn't pay your application fee or you applied after the due date. Don’t worry - you still have plenty of options available for entry into university.
Change your preferences
If your OP didn’t meet the cut-off to get you into your desired degree, you can change your preferences. This allows you to choose another course that will get you into University, and then upgrade to your preferred course later on.
Consider our alternative entry options
Whether you didn’t receive an offer, didn’t get your dream OP (or maybe you didn’t apply for an OP at all), USQ offers a number of alternative entry options which act as a pathway into university.
These programs allow you to apply directly for entry into selected USQ programs upon successful completion, and some of them are even free! Why not contact us to see if a pathway program is your best option.
Talk to our experts
We understand applying to uni can be stressful, but you don’t have to do it alone. We have a team of Student Relationship Officers (SROs) who you can talk to about your concerns, questions explain anything you want to know about uni life!
Enrol in your courses
Next it's up to you to enrol in courses. Information on How to Enrol can be found in your Welcome Guide, which you’ll receive in the mail once you’ve accepted your offer, however you can enrol before this arrives!
If you're studying one of our pathway programs, through cross-institutional study, our Head Start program, or a professional development course, we will add your enrolments on your behalf.
Invest some time in your future; a USQ Scholarship can allow you to concentrate on your studies and remove some of your financial burdens. Visit our Scholarships website to find one suited to you.
Apply for credit
If you’ve studied at TAFE or another uni before, or have some on-the-job experience, you might be eligible to get credits that can be put towards your new degree. For more information, have a look at our information on applying for credit.
Orientation is the best way to start your learning journey at USQ. You can find out all the information you will need to successfully navigate your way through your first few weeks and settle in to your studies.
If you can’t make it on campus, Online Orientation allows you to gain an understanding of what you need to know in your first Semester, best of all you can do it at home online and in your own time.
