USQ graduates are working in:
- Television news production - news camera, and editors with the major television networks
- With NEP on major television outside broadcast of major sporting events
- On air and in production on ABC radio and with commercial radio stations
- Advertising agencies, production companies and some have gone on to film their own documentaries.
Industry links and experience
USQ has collaborative partnership agreements with Channel Nine, Channel Seven, NEP and other major media outlets to provide real world, hands on experience. This links with industry level facility training on campus and supported by guest presenters who are regulars within our teaching and learning experience. Phoenix Radio and the associated AM, FM and Digital partners put you on air and online, it is our radio station serving the local community.
You can explore careers in television, radio, film, games, advertising agencies, teaching, production companies and even producing your own documentaries. Work includes: camera, editing, producing, junior roles in production, scriptwriting, on air presenting, floor managing, unit manager, directors assistant, production assistant and the list goes on.
