Music innovation at USQ
USQ’s innovative contemporary music program caters for your individual interests and aspirations, and allows you to become a versatile musician with many career options. Our programs centre around collaboration, and allow you the freedom to contribute as a vocalist, instrumentalist, songwriter/producer or any combination of these.
Showcase your skills
You will develop your skills through making music with your fellow students in ensembles. These ensembles are central to our practice and regularly showcased, giving you many performance opportunities and great practical experience. Our music theory and history courses also have a strong emphasis on applying theory in practice.
Many of our courses are available online. This means you can study and explore your love of music and balance other life commitments.
Our lecturers are industry professionals, knowledgeable and well respected. USQ music students enjoy plenty of opportunities to perform, record and create new works, as our lecturers focus on you as an individual and your unique needs.
A great way to test-drive studying music at USQ is to attend the McGregor Summer School, held every January.
