Visual Arts at USQ provides an exciting and innovative environment for you to undertake studio-based research in discipline areas including:

  • ceramics
  • spatial construction (sculpture and textiles)
  • painting
  • printmaking
  • gallery studies
  • drawing.
Our committed staff, who are renowned artists, are actively involved in the arts sector and will assist in developing your art career through mentoring studio-practices.

Professional experience

As a Visual Arts student you will have the opportunity to interact with professional artists and have the opportunity to exhibit your work through an artist-run-initiatives, our own public gallery and through exchange exhibitions from other institutions around Australia.

Career opportunities

You will be equipped to work as a practising artist, secondary school teacher (with further study), art critic, librarian, curator or in the areas of arts administration, studio and gallery management, community arts and arts research.
