Our Bachelor of General Studies is for anyone wanting to benefit from a wide choice of study areas. This degree is ideal for those who may have left school, but want to sample a range of university subjects before starting a more specialised degree.
You will study courses chosen from a mix of humanities, social science, biological sciences, physical sciences, environment and sustainability, business/commerce, engineering and spatial science and can use your studies to transfer to another degree if/when you choose a specialisation.

- Subject pre-requisite: English (4 SA) or equivalent. Find your country's level of qualification and minimum entry requirements for this program.
- Some majors or disciplines may require further pre-requisites.
English Language Requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
Pathway programs are also available if you don't meet the English entry requirements mentioned above.

Note: Semester 3 intake is only available via distance education
USQ accepts applications all year. Semester start dates are:
- Semester 3, 2017 - Monday 13 November 2017.
- Semester 1, 2018 - Monday 26 February 2018.
- Semester 2, 2018 - Monday 16 July 2018.
