  • USQ’s Graduate Certificate of Business (General) allows you to select any four postgraduate Business and Commerce courses to personalise your degree to meet your professional and career goals.
  • Choose exciting courses ranging from enterprise leadership to digital transformation allowing you the freedom to study an area of interest rather than a set specialisation. (The specialisation name of General will not appear on your testamur).

Further study

After completing the Graduate Certificate of Business (General), you have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Graduate Diploma of Business, Master of Business Administration (General) or Master of Business and Innovation (General).

Entry requirements

  • Completion of an Australian university Bachelor degree in any area, or equivalent.
    or
  • A minimum of five years’ professional work experience, or equivalent. Further information on admission through work experience is available.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete any 4 units from the Master of Business Administration, Master of Business and Innovation, Master of Information Systems, Master of Professional Accounting and Master of Project Management. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per semester.
