Overview

After completing the Graduate Diploma of Business (Finance), you have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Business Administration (Finance) or the Master of Business and Innovation (Finance)

Entry requirements

  • Australian university Bachelor degree in the area of business, or equivalent.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete 8 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per semester.

You have 2 options to complete the Graduate Diploma of Business:

Option 1 - Named specialisation and general specialisation

Students must complete the four-unit Finance specialisation courses from the Master of Business Administration or Master of Business and Innovation, plus any four courses from the Master of Business Administration, Master of Project Management or Master of Business and Innovation, Master of Professional Accounting or Master or Information Systems or from other USQ postgraduate programs as approved by the Program Coordinator.

Option 2 - Two named specialisations

Students must complete the four-unit Finance specialisation courses from the Master of Business Administration or Master of Business and Innovation, plus another four-unit named specialisation from the Master of Business Administration, Master of Project Management or Master of Business and Innovation.
