Strategic Human Resource Management is essential to enable innovation and adaptation in economic markets experiencing uncertainty and unpredictability.

  • Develop essential enterprise skills such as creativity, cognitive flexibility, collaboration, emotional intelligence, and refine your complex problem-solving strategies.

  • The third component of your studies will be a research project which will expand your knowledge in strategic human resource management.

Upon completion of the Master of Business (Strategic Human Resource Management) you are eligible to apply for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Professional accreditation

When combined with the Applied Human Resource Management specialisation, this specialisation successfully meets the criteria for accreditation with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

Career outcomes

As a graduate of this degree, you will be qualified for careers and roles such as corporate services manager, human resource manager, policy and planning manager, company secretary, human resource adviser, recruitment consultant, workplace relations adviser, management consultant, liaison officer, careers counsellor.

Entry requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor degree, or equivalent, in the area of business, or equivalent.

Note: If you have a bachelor degree, or equivalent (AQF level 7), in a non-business-related discipline from a recognised institution, USQ’s Graduate Certificate of Business provides a pathway into the Master of Business. Upon completion and achievement of a minimum GPA of 4.0, you will be eligible for entry into the Master of Business. Eligibility for entry will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

English language requirements

You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
