Flight simulators

Fasten your seatbelts.

UniSQ Springfield and Toowoomba’s $1 million world-class flight simulators are bringing UniSQ at the cutting edge of aviation. No other university in the Southern Hemisphere provides their students with the opportunity to operate these sorts of modern simulators.

Replicating a Boeing 737-800 (Springfield) and an A320 airliner (Toowoomba), the simulators feature state-of-the-art equipment and technology, providing aviation students with real-world experience through multi-crew simulated training in an aircraft cockpit.

A narrow body jet, the simulators are able to recreate an entire flight with both normal and abnormal scenarios, while completing all of the necessary checks and procedures in a real flight.
UniSQ Toowoomba’s flight simulator and aviation program are set to take off in 2020.

The University of Southern Queensland is also the only university in the country to house both an Airbus and Boeing simulator and offer simulated flying experience in the first-year of study.
