Explore USQ's Toowoomba campus and don't miss these highlights.

  • Take a personalised tour around campus. Choose where you'd like to go based on your interests.
  • Chat one-on-one with lecturers in the Refectory or in their specific areas around the uni.
  • Check out the live demonstrations of our flight simulator. You can even fly the simulator yourself - just get in early, places are limited.
  • Learn about the science behind driverless tractors and precision irrigation systems. Tour the Agricultural precinct - don't miss the hypersonic flow and rocket facilities. 
  • Discover how urban and regional planners can stop disasters. Play online disaster simulated scenarios including tsunamis, wildfire, and earthquakes. Learn how to defend the population against disasters.
  • Get up close with some of Australia's most unique wildlife with our wildlife and environmental science experts.

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s easy to get to all three of USQ’s campuses. There’s a public bus service that links USQ Springfield, Ipswich and Toowoomba with many major suburbs and train stations. 

For Open Day, there’s also a free shuttle bus that can transfer you to and from USQ Springfield and Ipswich campus.

USQ Springfield 

Free parking is available just off University Drive next to the new Engineering building F. Additional parking is available off Education City Drive in the general parking. You may notice a couple of metered bays however there is no charge for parking on Open Day.  Download Springfield campus map.

USQ Ipswich 

All parking is free and includes parking areas 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Download Ipswich campus map.

USQ Toowoomba 

All parking on campus is free. You may notice a couple of metered bays however there is no charge for parking on Open Day. Download Toowoomba campus map.
Everyone! Open Day is a family friendly event and prospective students of all ages can attend to find out more about their degree of interest or what it’s like to study at USQ.
Open Days in Springfield and Ipswich are from 10am to 2pm, Sunday 14 August. In Toowoomba, Open Day is from 9:30am to 2pm, Sunday 21 August.  

USQ Open Days are a family friendly event with food trucks available all day and live music to keep everyone entertained.  

The event planner with a full schedule for each campus will be available closer to the date of the events. Register for the event to be the first to know when the Open Day programs are ready.  

One of the best things about USQ Open Day is speaking directly to our expert lecturers. And you can do this without needing to book an appointment. When you attend on the day head directly to the information booths to find out where you can chat to lecturers at each campus.

To speak with a qualified Career Counsellor, head to the careers stall on the day. They'll chat you through what degrees can help you reach your career goals. No advanced booking is required.

Use the free shuttle bus! USQ Springfield and Ipswich Open Days are on the same day which means you can check out both campuses easily as they are a free 20-minute shuttle bus away. Check the program, ask at the information tent or check the sign at the bus stop to see the bus schedule for the day.
Yes! Our expert Degree Advisors can help you submit your application to USQ at each campus Open Day. They’ll walk you through the application process and answer any questions you might have. If you know you’d like to apply on the day, contact us to find out if there’s any supporting documentation you will need to submit with your application. Otherwise, feel free to attend Open Day and our Degree Advisors will let you know if there’s anything you’ll need to apply and start the application process with you.
Campus tours are a great way to explore each campus and it's facilities. We recommend them being one of the first things you do if you’re keen to orientate yourself and see everything we have to offer on campus. You don’t need to book to attend a campus tour. They run all day at each campus, check the program for times.
Yes! There are a variety of food trucks available all day at each campus with some catering to different dietary requirements. Take some time out for lunch and sit back and relax to the live music.

The best way to stay up to date with information about USQ Open Day is to register in advance to attend. You’ll receive information about the day and be the first to know when the program is released. You’ll also go in the draw to win a Beats Pill+ portable speaker!
