ARC Project Funded PhD Scholarship in CO2 Utilisation

Scholarships will be awarded to develop novel high-performance electrodes and CO2 electrolysers in the following areas.

  1. To design and fabricate highly active gas diffusion electrodes for CO2 electrochemical conversions;
  2. To develop an in-depth understanding of catalytic mechanisms considering reactant transportation and triple-phase microenvironment via pore structure characterisation and fluid dynamic modelling.
  3. To evaluate the electrochemical performance of gas diffusion electrodes and study the potential scale-up solutions

UniSQ Centre for Future Materials (CFM) has gained a reputation for pioneering research and development in advanced composite manufacturing, civil composites, smart materials, and geopolymer & concrete.

These PhD scholarships offer the opportunity to work alongside leading researchers within CFM on a topic at the forefront of advanced composites and will have access to a range of professional development initiatives.
Value:

  • Stipend of AUD $32,000.00
  • Maximum period of tenure of an award is 3.5 years. Periods of study already undertaken towards the degree will be deducted from the period of tenure.
