Mackenzie Family First Nations HDR Scholarship

The Mackenzie Family First Nations HDR Scholarship is offering a scholarship award for a First Nations domestic students studying, or commencing the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2023. Applications in all areas of research are welcome. This scholarship was established in 2022 through a gift from the Mackenzie Family. It is supported by an endowment fund with the wider goal of encouraging the development of First Nations HDR students through ongoing support for their research studies.

Application for entry into the program is a separate process that must be started to be eligible for the scholarship. Application steps can be found here.

• Stipend of AUD $8,000 per annum.

To be eligible applicants must:

have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours, or equivalent level;
have applied, or currently enrolled in the PhD at UniSQ;
be a First Nations Australian citizen
commence or continue study in 2023.

Applicants will be assessed on:

alignment with the University's research priority areas;
academic merit, previous research outputs and research experience of the applicant;
research track record of the proposed supervisory team;
quality of the research proposal.
