Diploma of University Studies (Creative Arts)
Do you have creative flare?
Start your university studies with a Diploma of University Studies if you haven’t finished Year 12 or never studied before. If you crave creativity, the Creative Arts specialisation provides the opportunity to sample music, theatre, creative media and visual arts courses. The diploma is also designed to develop your general study skills in writing, mathematics and computing.
To assist staff in determining your level of reading comprehension, written expression, and mathematical understanding, you will need to complete online tests in mathematics, e-literacy, and English communication skills. Complete the Diagnostic exercises and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org to commence your USQ journey.
As a graduate of this program, you will be eligible to apply for direct entry into selected USQ undergraduate degrees. If you choose to go on to further studies to a Bachelor of Creative Arts or Bachelor of Arts the subjects that you choose could also count as credit toward your undergraduate degree.
As a diploma graduate, you will be provided with general knowledge in preparation for a career in the arts. Further study in your chosen field can provide a pathway to your dream career.

Loan to help you pay your fees
You may not have to pay your course (subject) fees upfront. HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP allows you to defer your fees until your income reaches a certain level.
You may also be eligible to receive financial support from Centrelink.

You may be able to apply for scholarships to help with your study costs.

English Language Requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.

Applying directly to USQ:
- Semester 1, 2020 - applications close Friday 6 March, with semester 1 commencing on Monday 24 February 2020.
- Semester 2, 2020 - applications close Friday 24 July, with semester 2 commencing on Monday 13 July 2020.
- Semester 3, 2020 - applications close Friday 20 November, with semester 3 commencing on Monday 16 November 2020.
