To equip you with the experience and special skills needed to work within these communities, the Faculty actively seeks and implements initiatives and projects that further this commitment.

National Rural Health Student Network

The National Rural Health Student Network (NRHSN) represents the future of rural health in Australia. It is Australia’s only multi-disciplinary student health network, bringing together people studying medicine, nursing, and allied health, encouraging them to pursue rural health careers. 

Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Placement Bursary

This bursary provides financial assistance of up to AUD750 for USQ Nursing and Midwifery students attending rural or remote clinical placements away from their usual place of residence. Find out the full details and how to apply via the Clinical Placement Bursary Application form (PDF 348KB).
