International Stipend Research Scholarship (DPHD)

The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is offering a number of International PhD Stipend Scholarships for international students studying, or commencing the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2024. Applications in all areas of research are welcome.

Stipend of AUD $35,000 per annum.
The maximum period of the award is three years. Periods of study already undertaken towards the program will be deducted from the period of tenure.

To be eligible applicants must:

have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours, or equivalent level;
be eligible to be enrolled full-time on-campus in the PhD program at UniSQ;
be an international student, not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident;
not have previously held an Australian Government funded higher degree by research scholarship;
not be a sponsored student receiving similar funding from their Government, or other organisations;
must have applied for enrolment or currently be enrolled in a PhD at UniSQ
commence or continue study in 2024.

Applicants will be assessed on:

alignment with the University's research priority areas;
academic merit, previous research outputs and research experience of the applicant;
research track record of the proposed supervisory team;
quality of the research proposal.
