Enhance your knowledge in Physics and Astronomy

USQ’s Diploma of Science (Physical Sciences) introduces you to the fundamental concepts of physics and astronomy and provides you with the opportunity to acquire complementary mathematical and communication skills. This degree is highly recommended if you are seeking physics experience before enrolling in a Bachelor’s degree.

The Diploma is a qualification in its own right, and you can stop there if you want to, but it is also a pathway to a Bachelor degree. This means that the eight courses you study can count towards a Bachelor degree.

Further study

After completing the Diploma of Science (Physical Sciences) you can continue your studies with the Bachelor of Science (Physical Sciences).

As a graduate, you will be provided with general physical science knowledge in preparation for a career in a number of areas including education, research and science outreach, and with potential employers including government, universities, or industry.

The other major in the Diploma of Science is Environment and Sustainability.
