Apply for Head Start program
To apply for Head Start you must:
- be studying in Year 10 (from semester 2), 11 or 12
- achieve a minimum B average (70% or higher)
- have a minimum of 3 high school student subjects on a relevant Education report card
- have permission from your parent/guardian and school or education

Apply online directly to USQ for your chosen Head Start course. Once in the application, type 'USQ Head Start' in the search box to get started.
Supporting documents
Attach the Academic Approval Form and a copy of your latest graded report card to the application. These documents help us to verify that you meet the entry requirements.
You will be emailed a reference number once you submit your application and notified via email the outcome of your applicated within 10 business days. You can check the progress of your application at any time by logging into your USQ Direct Entry application.

Formal examinations
Details of your examinations for this semester can be found in your Formal Exam Schedule in your Student Centre, which will be made available to students 6 weeks prior to the Formal Examination Period.
These exams do not require your physical attendance at a campus or examination centre. The Formal Examination Period dates are available on the USQ Academic Calendar and Important Dates page.
