Negative numbers and absolute value
Multiplication involving negative numbers
- Multiplying numbers with opposite signs (one positive and one negative) will give a negative answer, for example, \(-4\times3=-12\).
- Multiplying numbers with the same signs (both positive or both negative) will give a positive answer, for example \(4\times5=20\) and \( -6\times-5 = +30\).
